We are a Canadian investment banking, strategic solutions provider and a corporate governance advisory firm, backed by over four decades of experience in Canada, US and other international markets. We can provide our clients the following services:

The Founder

As a financial executive, an independent corporate director, an entrepreneur and an academic author and Mr. Panday has engaged in commercial, corporate, retail and investment banking, insurance, warranty assurance and private and capital markets in Canada, USA and India. He has nearly 40 years of experience in diversified industries, supplemented by external, internal and IT audit, and with over 20 years of board directorship experience. In 2009, he founded PanVest Capital Corporation.

In 2003, he led the establishment of ICICI Bank Canada as its first and founding President/CEO and a member of the Board. ICICI became a full-service Canadian chartered bank, under his leadership achieving $ 4 Billion in assets with a Pan-Canada and international client base of retail and corporate customers. Concurrently, he led ICICI Bank Group’s wealth management and securities businesses in Canada and the USA. Prior to ICICI Bank, he held executive roles with HSBC Bank Canada, Bank of Montreal and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board of Tarion Warranty Corporation and the Chair of its Corporate Governance, Regulatory Affairs and Nominations Committee. He is also an independent Director on the Boards of: Meridian Credit Union (Audit & Finance and Governance Committees), Pro-Demnity Insurance (its Immediate Past-Chairman), Raymond James Trust Quebec and Raymond James Trust Canada (Chair, Audit & Risk Committee) and Stone Investment Group (Chair, Corporate Governance Committee). Previously, he served on the boards of the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE, formerly CNSX), Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. (TSX/NYSE), ICICI Bank Canada, ICICI Wealth Management Inc. and ICICI Securities (USA).

Mr. Panday has been teaching corporate governance for nearly five years in York University’s Masters, Corporate Governance & Financial Accountability (MFAc) program. He has authored a chapter on Cross-border Corporate Governance in The Handbook of Board Governance, Second Edition, published by Wiley’s.

He is currently the Honorary Colonel for 32 Service Battalion, Canadian Armed Forces. He volunteers on: CPA Canada’s Corporate Oversight and Governance Advisory Board and the CD Howe Institute (National Council). He has been involved in many prominent professional associations, non-profit and charitable organizations.

Mr. Panday is an active speaker at forums and seminars. He has spoken on governance subjects, trade issues, policy matters, corporate leadership, competitive global positioning and building closer ties between civilian and military communities. These forums or seminars have included the Senate of Canada, Institute of Corporate Directors, Canada, Iceland Chamber of Commerce, Financial Executives Institute, Canada, The Empire Club, Osgoode Law School, Canadian Pension & Benefits Institute, Conference Board of Canada, Canadian Forces College Turnaround Management Association, USA, CIO Forums, USA and many others.

He is an FCPA, FCGA and has earned the ICD.D designation. In 2012, he was recognised for his philanthropic activities when he was awarded The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He is a member of CPA Canada, the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Washington, DC, and the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), Toronto, Canada.
